About Stair Builder - Toilet Games

A collecting runner where the blocks you gather are also the ground you cross on. Gaps in the route have to be bridged using your own stack, so every block spent is one you no longer have for whatever is ahead โ€” and rivals are running the same course, which means the cautious route and the winning route are not the same. Running out of blocks halfway across is the characteristic way to lose, and it is always a decision made earlier.

How to Play

Move around the level and collect blocks in your own colour. When you reach a gap, use your collected blocks to build a bridge or a set of stairs across it. Every block spent crossing is one you no longer have, so collect more than the next gap looks like it needs. Race the other runners and reach the finish first.

Good to know

Movement-based, so a keyboard or a steady thumb both work, and levels are short enough to retry without thinking about it. There is an opponent to beat, which gives it more of an edge than the purely solo games in the catalogue.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I run out of blocks at a gap?

You cannot cross, and going back to collect more costs you the lead. Over-collecting early, when detours are cheap, is generally worth it.

Does the colour of the blocks matter?

Yes โ€” only blocks in your own colour add to your stack, which is what stops the route being a straight line.

Is it better to race or to collect?

Neither on its own finishes the level. Collecting early and racing the back half is what tends to work.
