About Chicken Orbit
A one-shot launcher built around a single well-timed click. A power gauge moves back and forth, and clicking it sets how the chicken is launched โ there is no steering afterwards, so the whole attempt is decided in the moment you release. Because a run is over in seconds, the cost of a bad shot is close to nothing and the pull is in trying again immediately. Reading the gauge accurately is the only skill involved, and it is one that improves noticeably over a handful of attempts.
How to Play
Watch the shot gauge as it moves. Click to launch. Where the gauge is at that moment is what sets the shot, so the timing is the whole input. The chicken travels on its own once launched โ there is nothing to steer. Watch where it lands, adjust when you click next time, and go again.
Good to know
One click is the entire control scheme, so it plays identically with a mouse, a trackpad or a finger. Nothing to read and nothing to learn beyond the gauge, which makes it a reasonable one to hand to someone who does not play games. Sound is optional.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I steer after launching?
No. Everything is decided by when you click, and the shot then plays out on its own. That is why the runs are short and worth repeating.
Do I need to click at the very top of the gauge?
Not necessarily. Watch where your shots land relative to when you clicked, and adjust from there โ the best release point is something you find by trying rather than by aiming at a mark.
How long does a go take?
Seconds. It is built for short attempts rather than long sessions, so it works well as something to fill a couple of minutes.
