About Web Master

A platformer built around swinging. A web fired at a surface lets you swing across gaps, and a short-range teleport covers the ones a swing cannot reach. Because a swing carries the speed of the one before it, the game rewards keeping moving far more than it rewards precision โ€” stopping to line up a careful jump usually drops you into whatever you were trying to get past. Enemies use weapons and traps, so the route through a level matters as much as the fighting does.

How to Play

Fire a web at a surface to attach, then swing from it. Speed carries over between swings, so momentum is worth keeping. Release around the top of the arc to travel furthest โ€” releasing late turns your speed into a drop. Use the teleport for gaps a swing cannot reach and to get out of attacks you cannot dodge. Enemies come at you with weapons and traps, so keeping moving is usually safer than stopping to fight.

Good to know

The movement takes a few levels to click, and it is the point of the game rather than an obstacle to it โ€” expect the first attempts to be clumsy. Desktop suits the timing better than touch. Levels are distinct, so there are natural places to stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I let go of a swing?

Around the top of the arc. Releasing late converts momentum into a drop, which is the usual reason a jump comes up short.

What is the teleport for?

Gaps with nothing to attach to, and escaping an attack you cannot dodge. It is a positioning tool rather than a way of travelling faster.

Should I fight enemies or get past them?

Mostly get past them. Stopping costs you the momentum the movement depends on.
